As a recent dog-loving bride myself, I see you. I felt the same overwhelm and anxiety that accompanies nearly every wedding-planning experience, not to mention the conflicting feelings I experienced regarding my sweet pup and how she might fit into the most special day of my life thus far. Of course I wanted to share my wedding day with my fur-baby, Winter, but I also wanted my guests, my groom, and myself to have the ability to be fully present and truly experience the celebration. Everyone that I would trust to bring Winter to our venue, watch her during the ceremony and photos, and take her back home was already attending our wedding, and I couldn’t bring myself to make such a massive request. I also felt uncomfortable using a general pet-sitting service because I couldn’t guarantee their qualifications or standards for pet-transport, pet first aid, or even just pet safety. I wanted to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that my girl was in good hands, and I just didn’t know who to turn to. Thus, I realized what a significant need there is for a trusted pet-care provider specifically for weddings and special events, and Mutt of Honor was born!
